Kassi is the winner!

We had a little game going before Charlie was born so that folks could guess the date, sex, and a few details of the birth.  We weighted each guess (with the date being the highest in points), and Kassi Marshall came out with the most points (a whopping four).  You can view the guesses and final counting at our Google Spreadsheet.
For playing, Kassi will receive complimentary bragging rights for ONE FULL YEAR.  Yes, that's right, her and her husband (Jon), and even her two boys (Logan and Austin) can all brag about their Kassi as much as they'd like through January 5, 2011.  She will also receive a special thank you hug from Charlie.  Thanks everyone for playing, and congratulations Kassi!

Our Family

The first week has flown by...but here's (what I think is) our first family photo.  Charlie is one week old and we are so excited that he's finally here!  Charlie's first doctor appointment was yesterday - they basically just wanted to check him out and make sure we were doing ok.  As of 1/11 he's up to 8 lbs - he lost an ounce on the scale as retribution for having to wait to see the doctor!  As a reminder: birth weight (1/5) - 7lbs 13oz, hospital discharge (1/7) - 7lbs 4 oz.  It's amazing that in a week he has already grown and changed.  We are having such a great time with him as well as keeping the house up and napping that it's a little difficult to post...we'll keep trying!

Nicholson baby update...

Hello all,
Just a short note to let you know that all is well:
Charles (Charlie) Meredith Nicholson was born at: 10:00am today.
7 lbs, 13 oz, 20.5 inches and born on his due date.
Dani is doing great--she was amazing!  We'll be at St. Joe's probably through Thursday.
